Jimy Mac Malone

Jimy was born on July 27, 1983, to Marty Malone, and Vicky Lewis.

He was raised in Wills Point, Texas. Jimy enlisted into the army when

he was a senior in high school. He served a tour of duty, in the middle

east, and eventually came home. On April 9, 2005, he married his

high-school sweetheart, Leslie Tisdale. On April 20, 2006, Jimy and Leslie

found out they were going to be parents. Between then and January,

Jimy was deployed to Iraq, a second time. On January 9, 2007, Jimy and

Leslie welcomed, Reagan Allison Malone to the family. Unfortuantely,

Jimy wasn't there for the birth. Approx. 3 weeks later, Jimy came home

on R&R to see his baby girl, and to see family. Our family delayed Christmas

until February, so we could all be together. [And, I'm so glad we did.] February

2, 2007, Jimy headed back to finish his tour. He kept in touch with family via

the internet, and phone. June 23, 2007 we received news that the worse possible

thing had come true. Jimy's humvee was hit by an IED, killing the four men aboard.

His funeral was held at Wills Point High School on July 3, 2007. Despite the anger,

frustration, and sadness this all brought us, we will always have Jimy in our hearts and

know he is a true American hero that we all miss dearly.
